Advertising Policy
Effective 23 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-23
Eligible advertisers and offers
Advertise only a venue or event you are authorized to manage. The business must meet Rumba's verification or publication requirements and hold permissions required for the advertised activity. Use an accurate identity and working contact details. Ads must be relevant to a lawful venue, event or related offer available to the selected audience.
Honest, usable creative
- Use a clear image, readable text and buttons that match the actual offer and internal destination.
- Show truthful prices, dates, availability, conditions and any important restrictions. Do not invent discounts, endorsements, scarcity or guarantees.
- Use only images, logos, music, names and other material you have permission to use. Do not impersonate another business or imply Rumba endorsement.
- Keep the venue or event page accurate and usable. Honor the advertised offer or promptly stop or correct the ad when it changes.
- Do not hide a prohibited offer inside an image, switch the destination after review, or try to evade a review decision.
Prohibited advertising
- Fraud, phishing, malware, counterfeit tickets, deceptive payment requests or attempts to obtain passwords or sign-in codes.
- Illegal goods or services, exploitation, trafficking, hate, threats, harassment, graphic violence or sexual content.
- Illegal drugs, weapons, gambling services, financial or credit products, political campaigns, or unrelated employment and housing offers.
- Discriminatory, degrading or invasive content, including assertions about a viewer's sensitive personal characteristics.
- Content that promotes unsafe conduct, impaired driving, dangerous consumption or harm to children or other vulnerable people.
Age, location and responsible promotion
Rumba advertising inventory is for adults aged 18 and over. Select a higher minimum age when the venue, event, product or local law requires it. Do not target minors or use imagery or messages designed to appeal to them.
An adult audience alone does not make an alcohol or other age-restricted promotion lawful. Restrict the locations and ages to where that offer and its advertising are permitted, include required disclosures, and avoid messages encouraging excessive consumption or linking consumption with driving, social success or unsafe behavior. Rumba may refuse restricted promotions even if a local rule would permit them.
Do not use audience settings to discriminate unlawfully, infer sensitive traits or target a named individual. Choose only the countries, areas, adult age ranges and optional gender settings relevant and lawful for the offer. Geographic selection is approximate, so consider how the creative may be seen outside an intended area.
Privacy and fair measurement
Do not upload customer contact lists, identity documents or other private information into advertising artwork or copy. Campaign reporting is aggregated. Data obtained separately through ticket sales or business operations must not be repurposed for unrelated marketing without an appropriate basis.
Do not buy fake traffic, create accounts to inflate views, repeatedly automate clicks or manipulate ticket purchases for campaign results. Do not pressure users to click an ad to use unrelated app features. Report suspected invalid activity to Rumba.
Review, enforcement and reports
A platform administrator reviews the submitted image, text, business, offer, destinations and audience before activation. Editing an ad resets approval. Rumba may request evidence, require changes, reject a campaign or suspend delivery when a concern is found after approval.
Contact ola@rumba.co.bw to report a problematic advertisement or ask for another review. Include the advertiser or campaign name and, if possible, a screenshot and the date seen. Do not include passwords, payment card details or sign-in codes. Valid advertising usage already delivered remains subject to the Advertising Terms and applicable law.
