Using Rumba

Rumba is owned and operated by Bytebridge Technologies. These terms cover the Rumba app, website and business tools. Rumba helps people discover venues and events, share outings, make plans and manage tickets. Venues and organizers operate their own businesses and are responsible for their listings, events, offers and services. Contact Rumba at ola@rumba.co.bw about these terms.

You must be at least 18 to create an account. A venue, event or local law may require a higher age. Do not use Rumba where doing so is unlawful. Features and payment methods may vary by location and availability.

Your account

Provide accurate details, use an account you control and keep your password and sign-in codes private. Do not impersonate someone or share access to a business workspace without permission. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Usernames must be unique. Name changes are limited to once every three months. Email and phone changes require security verification. Contact us if an account detail that cannot be edited is inaccurate.

Event stall applications and bookings

A stall application does not secure a space. The organizer reviews what you propose to sell and may contact you or decline your application. If accepted, the payment invitation states the price, quantity and deadline. Payment must be verified by Rumba before a stall booking is confirmed. Unpaid holds can expire. A stall booking does not include event entry unless the organizer expressly includes it.

Keep your booking link private. The organizer is responsible for stall facilities, setup arrangements, permits and requirements it communicates. Contact the organizer or Rumba about cancellations or refund requests. If a late or duplicate payment cannot secure a booking, it is recorded for refund rather than silently allocating another space. Provider processing times and mandatory legal rights still apply.

Tickets, entry and refunds

Review the event, admission rules, ticket type, quantity, total price, fees and refund policy before paying. A clear profile photograph is required to buy tickets and may be shown to authorized gate staff for entry verification. Payment is complete only after it is confirmed, and availability can change before checkout completes.

Keep your ticket private. Sharing a ticket or its code does not create another admission. Use Rumba's transfer or resale process where available; an accepted transfer or resale changes who can use the ticket. Venues and organizers may enforce published age, capacity, conduct and admission rules.

The refund policy shown for the ticket and your mandatory legal rights apply. Contact the organizer or Rumba about cancellations, materially changed events or payment problems. Do not assume that deleting, pausing or signing out of your account cancels a purchase or requests a refund. Refunds require confirmation and may take additional time to appear with your payment provider.

Posts and community conduct

Public images and text may be checked automatically before publication. We may hold or remove content that violates our rules. You can report posts, comments or profiles and appeal eligible removal decisions through Content reviews.

You remain responsible for the content you upload and must have permission to use it, including permission from people where required. You allow Rumba to store, display and deliver that content to operate the features you use. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content to Rumba.

• Do not publish harassment, threats, hate, sexual exploitation, unlawful material or private information without permission.
• Do not submit fraudulent reviews, misleading listings, stolen images, counterfeit tickets or offers you cannot honor.
• Do not attack the service, bypass access controls, scrape private data, manipulate views or clicks, or interfere with ticket admission.
• Use safety tools responsibly. Rumba and its location tools do not replace emergency services.

Venues, organizers and advertisers

You must be authorized to manage the business or event you submit. Keep identity documents, contact details, schedules, prices, menus, availability and policies accurate, and obtain required licenses and permissions. Verification does not guarantee the quality or safety of a venue, event or offer.

Business and gate access is limited to the authority assigned to your account. Use attendee details only for legitimate event operations and applicable legal requirements. A ticket purchase does not automatically authorize unrelated marketing.

Paid advertising is governed by the separate Advertising Terms and Advertising Policy. Optional email updates, including sponsored offers, depend on the recipient's email marketing choice.

Pausing, deletion and restrictions

You can pause your account where offered and return by completing the reactivation checks. Pausing retains your data and does not cancel purchases, business duties or amounts owed. Account deletion requires your current password and a reviewed request. Records may need to be retained for payments, disputes, fraud prevention and legal obligations.

We may restrict content, ads or accounts when necessary to address misuse, safety, payment or legal concerns. Contact us to ask about a restriction or request review. We may update or discontinue features; any rights or obligations already created by a purchase or paid advertising remain subject to the applicable terms and law.

Your rights and contact

Nothing in these terms removes consumer, privacy or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived. We do not promise that every listing is available, that the service is uninterrupted, or that a venue or event will meet every expectation. Responsibility for a problem depends on the service involved and applicable law.

Send questions or complaints to ola@rumba.co.bw with enough information to investigate, such as an event name or transaction reference. Do not send passwords or sign-in codes. We will try to resolve concerns, and you retain any right to approach a relevant authority or court. Material changes to these terms will be identified through the service or another appropriate channel.
